Characterization of biodegradable polycaprolactone/biphasic calcium phosphate composites prepared by salt-leaching and freeze-drying method |
초록 |
Polycaprolactone (PCL) has been considered as a typical biodegradable polymer for application in orthopedic and implants due to its biocompatibility. However, PCL some disadvantage such as poor mechanical properties by maintaining the main requirements for bone graft substitutes and progressive osteointegration. In this study, we have developed the biodegradable PCL/Biphasic calcium phosphate (BCP) composite, which has a good mechanical property while maintaining a high porosity. The biodegradable PCL/BCP composites were then fabricated by a salt-leaching process. The success of this process was confirmed by characterizing the relationship between the microstructure and physical properties such as porosity, compressive strength and Young’s modulus. |
