Aggregation and precipitation of asphaltene globules by increasing hydrophilic properties of their surfaces |
초록 |
As the importance of heavy oil increases, the key of utilizing heavy oil is seperation of asphaltene and upgrading of maltene. Solvent Deasphalting (SDA) is a refinery process for extracting asphaltenes from crude oil/residue to obtain de-asphaltened oil. By adding specific surfactant (ex. alkyl-phenol ethoxylates) to water-diluted crude oil emulsion, asphaltene was partitioned and precipitated into water phase. In our research, asphaltene was partially oxidized to increase hydrophillicity, and the modified asphaltene was used as a surfactant to partition asphaltene. In addition, possibility for SDA pretreatment process and characteristics of oxidized asphaltene was examined. |
