Recently, the development of organic molecular-based electronic device and sensor has been confronted by technological limitations such as heat, shorting of device. To overcome the limitations of organic molecular-based electronic devices, the development of RNA-nanoparticle-based bioelectronics device has been proposed. The discovery of the pRNA 3WJ from the phi29 DNA packaging motor can give the alternation to fabricate a resistive biomolecular memory device. A pRNA 3WJ-quantum dot (QD) nanoparticle and 3WJ-Au nanoparticle were conjugated. The pRNA 3WJ was easily conjugated with the quantum dot through aptamer-based site-specific conjugation method. The resistive bi-stability property (I-V curve) of pRNA/QD hybrid was measured my scanning tunneling spectroscopy (STS). Also, 3WJ/Au nanoparticle conjugate was applied to electrochemical-surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy for detecting miRNA. |
