제목 | Analysis of chemical andmechanical properties of poly(acrylic acid) hydrogel containing silicone |
초록 | Poly(acrylicacid) (PAA) hydrogels are are non-toxic compounds that have the advantageof easy chemical modification. In this study, PAA–siliconehydrogels were prepared using electron-beam irradiation to improve thedurability and mechanical properties. The chemical properties of the PAA–silicone hydrogels with different dose of electron beam irradiation and different siliconecontent were confirmed by using ATR-FTIR and XPS. Themorphologies of PAA-Siliconehydrogel were investigated using scanning electron microscopy. Themechanical properties of PAA-Siliconehydrogel were characterized by adhesive, compressive, and tensilestrength. When the silicone content was more 20%, thecrosslinking density of the hydrogel was rapidly increased by electron beamirradiation. The adhesive strength wasincreased as the increase of silicone content. |
