제목 Synthesis and photovoltaic properties of low bandgap copolymers containing perylene diimide derivative.
초록 Two donoracceptor copolymers containing perylene diimide and carbazole have been designed and synthesized by palladium catalyzed Suzuki coupling reaction. Carbazole is a well-known electron-donating material and attractive candidates as p-type materials for solar cells. Perylenediimide (PDI) dyes are among the most promising molecular building blocks with photonic and electronic functionality. PDI molecules exhibit large absorption in the visible to near-infrared region, irradiate fluorescence with quantum yields near unity and in addition they are thermally, chemically and photochemically very stable. Most copolymers containing PDI are linked in bay positions with p-type materials. But we synthesized one copolymer linked in the diimide positions (peri-positions) and the other copolymer linked in bay positons. These copolymers were used as active layers, and we compared their photovoltaic behaviors from bulk-heterojuction solar cell devices
