Co-crystallization of pharmaceutical materials has attracted considerable attention as a new pathway to control the characteristics of the compounds, such as solubility and stability. Recently, we have obtained new co-crystals of adefovir dipivoxil with improved pharmaceutical properties. In the present study, we report the effects of various polymeric additives on the co-crystallization of adefovir dipivoxil. Both solution crystallization and solvent-assisted grinding were utilized to understand the role of polymeric additives. |
