제목 | Emulsion Stabilization of Phase Change Materials by Using Bacterial Cellulose Nanofibril Surfactants |
초록 | This study introduces a novel method forstabilizing phase change materials (PCM) with alkyl chains-grafted diiminebacterial cellulose nanofibers (C18-DIBC). We observed that C18-DIBC enhancedstability of PCM-DIBC emulsion and prevented undesirable reactions of PCM. Then-hexadecane as a PCM was successfully encapsulated with aid of C18-DIBC surfactant.After repeated freeze–thaw cycling test, PCM-DIBC emulsions sustained their initialsize and shape. From rheological analysis, PCM-DIBC emulsion showed highviscosity and modulus when the volume of internal phase increased. To estimatethermal stability of PCM-DIBC and energy performance, TGA and DSC analysis wasconducted. As a result, we could develop a PCM-DIBC emulsion system with sustainedthermal energy storage capacity. |
