Two facile compounds, CzPAF-SBF and CzPAF-SBFN with CzPAF as a main scaffold and SBF and SBFN as end cappers were designed and synthesized through various coupling reactions. Their Photophysical, solvatochromism, thermal, and electrochemical properties were systematically investigated. The two compounds show the blue emission in solution and solid state, especially, the CzPAF-SBF shows deep blue emission (441 nm). Both the compounds possess good thermal stability with high glass transition temperatures of 119-135 oC and thermal decomposition temperatures of 446-447 oC. The fluorescence quantum yield is quite high (0.70-0.80). Solution processed based these compounds exhibit highly efficient, stable and deep blue EL. A non-doped deep-blue FOLEDs using CzPAF-SBF as the blue emitter displays high performance, with a maximum EQE of 2.0% and maximum current efficiency of 2.9 cd A-1 at the CIE coordinate of (0.10, 0.08) that are very close to NTSC blue standard (0.14, 0.08). |
