제목 Stability of photo-transformation film fabricated using quantum dot encapsulated in polymeric microcapsules
초록  Since quantum dot (QD) has outstanding optical properties of high color gamut and transforming UV or blue light to longer wavelength light dependent on its size, a lot of efforts have been made for developing QD photo-transformation film in display related fields. Commercial application of the film, however, has not been achieved yet because quantum yield of QD is easily degraded by aggregation in matrix polymer and environmental factors such as heat, moisture, and oxygen. We fabricated, for encapsulating QD, microcapsules from self-assembly of semi-crystalline polymers, which consist of stacks of 2 dimensional crystal planes. Photo-transformation film has been prepared from the capsuled QD dispersed in optically transparent polymer. The film shows stable luminescence property with high quantum yield. Photo-stability of the film is tested using home-made device under various conditions like room and hot temperature and air and dry nitrogen.
