Development of biotransformation system for the hydroxylation of resveratrol in Streptomyces spp. |
| 초록 |
Piceatannol, i.e. ortho-hydroxylated resveratrol, has been shown to act as an inhibitor of viral protein-tyrosine kinase implicated in leukemia and other diseases. We attempted to screen microbial strains which convert resveratrol to piceatannol. Using Streptomyces avermitilis, resveratrol almost disappeared leaving a minor metabolite. Our working hypothesis is that catalytic enzyme reaction doesn’t stop to produce piceatannol and continuously follow degradation. It is needed to block the metabolic flow in order to accumulate the piceatannol product. We applied to treat an inhibitor with substrate and optimized reaction system. |
