제목 | Further Study on Mechanical Property and Heat Transfer of Open-cell Aluminum Alloy Foam |
초록 | An overview is given of the researches at open-cell aluminum alloy foam, besides, a space-holder method has been used for fabricating of this foam via investment casting process under different temperature stain (for viscosity having relatively high resistance to flow). In this experiments, the aluminum alloy we choice is Al-Si alloy. Plaster/perlite mixture powder and small size fertilizer was used to synthesize space-holder. . The compressive behavior of five samples that got under same condition with different cell sizes (1mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, and 5mm) were tested and compared. Meanwhile, heat transfer properties of those five samples were measured by thermal conductivity meter and compared with the experimental expectant. In addition, in order to get good mechanical properties, we chose Y2O3 as additive. The effect of the Y2O3, which was added to the molten aluminum on the mechanical properties of the open cell aluminum foams, has been studied. Adding Y2O3 powders in the molten aluminum has important effect on the foams showing better mechanical properties than those without Y2O3. |
