Application of 3D printing and modelling techniques in the orthotic fields |
초록 |
3D printers are utilized in various medical fields such as stomatology, orthopaedics, and rehabilitation medicine. Dentists apply 3D printing techniques to manufacture dental plaster casts and bioprinting. Physiatrists use 3D printers to make individual foot insoles, orthosis, and prosthesis. Compared to the traditional alternatives, the advantage of 3D printing technique is that the 3D printed products can be personalized, modified, and reproduced more easily, which can lower the price of personalized products. Now, we will review the current application of 3D printing techniques in orthopaedic and rehabilitation fields, present our experiences of 3D printing application to the rehabilitative fields, introduce our automation software programs to make individualized orthosis by 3D printing techniques, and suggest future direction of 3D printing techniques. Our automation software program makes the ‘stl’ file for the individualized orthosis by uploading scanned body images. |
