Light-emitting diode (LED) therapy is a popular method for the treatment of facial acne and aging skin. Here, we developed a flexible polymer LED hydrogel mask for light skin therapy. Red light wavelengths are reported to stimulate collagen and fibroblast synthesis. Blue light wavelengths are reported to improve skin condition by stimulating bacterial porphyrin to destroy propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes). Hydrogel masks can keep moisture and nourish of face depending on additional ingredients. To integrate hydrogel masks and LED, we fabricated flexible and transparent polymer LED (FT-PLED) putting on the hydrogel masks. Conducting polymer (CP) exhibits extremely high deformable functionality and transmittance at a wavelength of visible light. Taken together, LED hydrogel masks might have both advantages of conventional LED masks and hydrogel masks. |
