Plastic electronics has emerged as a next-generation technology in various electronics and energy conversion applications. As the field grows bigger with rapid development in design and synthesis of functional polymers, utilization of multicomponent systems has become an alternative approach for enhancement of the functionality. Especially, conjugated polymer composites have showed promising results to control the electrical conductivity of organic materials, and been applied to organic solar cells and thermoelectric devices. In this talk, I present my current research work on conjugated polymer composites that have potentials for various applications including electronics and energy conversion. Examples include fabrication and characterization of conjugated polymer composite thin films based on a polythiophene derivative, and introduction of various dopants to polybenzimidazobenzophenanthroline thin films for conductivity enhancement. |
