Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) provide an ideal template for designing and fabricating MOF-based materials for diverse applications, especially in energy-related catalysis. To enhance the practical energy-related application, MOF-based catalysts can be prepared on substrate, which is then employed directly as an efficient electrode in the electrochemical processes . In this work, the controlled fabrication of Co x S y @Co(OH) 2 /CP for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is investigated. A cobalt-based MOF (so-called zeolitic imidazolate framework-67, ZIF-67) was directly grown on Co(OH) 2 /carbon paper (ZIF-67@Co(OH) 2 /CP), and a post-treatment step was then applied to convert ZIF-67@Co(OH) 2 /CP to the final Co x S y @Co(OH) 2 /CP material. The obtained data reveal that the Co x S y @Co(OH) 2 /CP materials can improve electrocatalytic performance for OER.
