We present that ultrathin and defect-free graphene (Gr) sheets were prepared using a liquid phase exfoliation method mixed by high shear force such as Talyor-Couette flow for ion-to-electron transducers in potentiometric sensors. The high hydrophobicity and surface area of Gr in potentiometric sensor show advanced performances of potentiometric sensor which is potential stability, water layer, gas and light interference. The Gr solid contacts achieve electrochemical characterizations that are a high double-layer capacitance, strong resistance against water layer, gas and light. The Gr-based K+ sensors show Nernst slop of 53.53 mV/log aK at range between 10-1 M to 10-4 M KCl, fast response time of 8 s, good repeatability, excellent long-term stability and selectivity. More than, the Gr-based K+ sensors provide measurement of accurate ion concentrations in actual samples of human sweat and sports drinks. |
