제목 | Hyaluronic Acid Microgel for Sustained Delivery of Therapeutic Proteins |
초록 | Short half-life and fast clearance of protein drugs induce frequent administration for therapeutic efficiency, causing physiological burdens and bacterial infections. To achieve long term delivery of therapeutic proteins, a novel injectable protein loaded hyaluronic acid microgel (HA microgel) via thiol-ene click chemistry was developed. The crosslinking density (0.4~12.6 kPa) and gelation time (41~165 sec) of HA hydrogels could be controlled at various polymer concentration. The spherical shape and size (2.5~4 µm) of HA microgel were analyzed by DLS and FE-SEM. The extended release pattern of a model protein from HA microgels was evaluated; 62.3% for 1 month with burst release. Moreover, this carrier was cytocompatible against hDFBs by WST-1. From the obtained results, we can suggest a novel promising microgel as a long term sustained delivery carrier for a variety of protein drugs.
