제목 | Synthesis and Characterization of Binary Electrolytes Composed of Carbonate and Ionic Liquids for Lithium Ion Batteries |
초록 | Recently, lithium ion batteries (LIBs) have been studied to apply the large devices such as energy storage systems, and electric vehicles. However, the LIBs have to overcome safety issue owing to the flammable carbonate electrolytes. In this respect, Ionic liquids (ILs) have been considered as attractive electrolyte candidates due to their non-flammable and non-volatile properties. To obtain the merits of each electrolyte of ionic liquids and carbonate, we suggest the mixed system of ILs and commercial carbonate. In this work, we study the thermal behavior and physicochemical properties of binary electrolytes while change the proportion of prepared ILs and carbonates. In thermal behavior, we make certain that the higher ratio of the ILs have a positive effect on the thermal stability. Also, the 6:4 ratio (ILs:carbonate) of mixed electrolyte showed better properties than the other mixed system in electrochemical and physicochemical properties. |
