Nano-Bio Chemical Imaging of Single Cells and Tissues for New Biomedical Applications |

KRISS has been trying to apply nanoanalysis tools for semiconductor industries to biochemical imaging of single cells and tissues for biomedical diagnostics.Preliminary results for practical biomedical applications will be reported on the following issues.1) En-face lipid imaging in sub-micron scale and simultaneous chemical profiling of lipid structures in both human and mouse atherosclerotic plaques with Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Scattering. 2)Interactions of fibroblasts and endothelial cells with collagen and fibronectin thin films with Surface Plasmon Resonance and Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry. 3) Development of bio-organic surface absolute quantification methodology based on Medium Energy Ion Scattering. Present status and future prospect of NanoBio Fusion Technology at KRISS will be discussed for possible mutual collaborations. |
