제목 Development of reliable radiolabeling strategies specifically for clinical setting
초록 Positron emission tomography (PET) is a non-invasive imaging modality used for in vivo monitoring of radioligand distribution and concentration. Various radioisotope labeling methods have become common due to the widespread availability of affordable cyclotrons in clinics. Fluorine-18 is a positron emitter with a half-life of only 110 min. New rapid radiofluorination chemistries are required to expand the application of PET tracers in early detection and monitoring of disease progression. To meet the high demands of these applications, an expeditious radiolabeling protocol that can be applied to both simple PET radiopharmaceuticals and complex biomacromolecules is required. The application of radiofluorination technology with hypervalent aryliodine compounds significantly expands the number of possible radioligands to use in PET imaging for clinical research and drug development.
