제목 Real time FTIR-ATR spectroscopy and its application to a photopolymerization study
초록 By combining real time FT-IR spectroscopy and diamond ATR sampling techniques, a method for characterization of photopolymerization was developed. To simulate and study surface and bulk photopolymerization of acrylate composites, experiments were performed with/without a spacer above ATR crystal. Different photopolymerization behaviors were observed at the surface (without spacer) and at the bulk (with spacer). The difference in photopolymerization kinetics is explained by premature termination, photobleaching, and UV absorption. The effect of UV intensity on photopolymerization and molecular weight distribution was also studied.
