Characteristics of PP/MWCNT nanocomposites prepared with twin screw extruder |

Polypropylene/multi-walled carbon nanotube (PP/MWCNT) nanocomposites were prepared with twin screw extruder. Commercial isotactic PP and MWCNT were used to investigate PP/MWCNT nanocomposites. Dispersion state of nanotube in polymer matrix was investigated according to the change in processing conditions such as, screw speed, feeding rate and barrel temperature. The rheological and mechanical properties of nanocomposites as increasing contents of MWCNT were also investigated with the processing conditions being fixed at optimum value. Thermal properties were also measured using DSC |
