제목 Endothelium-mimetic surface consisting of tethered lipid bilayer derived from endothelial membrane and NO production-catalyzing selenium
초록 Utilizing extracted cell membranes for the fabrication of supported lipid bilayers (SLB) is currently gaining sincere attention due to its similarity and versatility. In this study, we fabricated a tethered SLB (tSLB) system with membrane components extracted from endothelial cells on surface of titanium and embedded a synthesized selenium catalyst to achieve a continuous nitric oxide (NO) release. Surface analyses unveiled successful formation of the TLB with acceptable surface coverage. In vitro cell study showed superior endothelial cell attachment and proliferation and inhibition of smooth muscle cell in comparison with bare titanium and tSLB with artificial phospholipids. NO-producing cell-derived tSLB suggests the most advanced endothelium-mimetic surface.
