제목 Secret Paints Composed of Photoisomerizable Side-Chain Liquid Crystal and Self-Crosslinkable Backbone Polymer
초록 Stimuli-induced luminescence and color tunable organic materials with great performance and processability are essential to development of advanced optical coatings. We newly designed and synthesized a photoisomerizable side-chain mesogen polysiloxane (MSP) consist of a polymethylhydrosiloxane backbone and cyanostilbene side chain. MSP of flexible backbone allows to have smectic phase at a low and wide temperature range and to be photoisomerized by uv irradiation. The photoisomerization of MSP induces changes of transmittance and luminescence. Interestingly, MSP can be self-crosslinked by the Pt catalyst. As a result, self-crosslinked MSP has strong flexibility and stability. These properties of MSP can be utilized to shear-induced polarized emissive and photo-induced properties. Thus, this study can be applied to security paints for security coating of flexible objects. This work was supported by Mid-Career Researcher Program (2021R1A2C2009423).
