제목 | Effect of stress related genes on the production of butanol in Clostridium beijerinckii |
초록 | Butanol has received considerable attention in relation to a possible alternative to gasoline fuel and can be produced by the biological process using Clostridia through acetone-butanol-ethanol (ABE) fermentation. Until now, numerous efforts have been concentrated on developing a high butanol producer via ABE ferementation. In this study, several genes related to the various stress conditions such as oxidative stress, high osmotic shock, and low pH from Deinococcus radiodurans, an extremophilic bacterium, were overexpressed and the effects of these genes on the growth inhibition and butanol production were examined. |
