제목 ​Preparation of petroleum-based pitch with improved impregnation performance through molecular weight distribution tailoring
초록 ​Artificial graphite is recognized as a useful materialin many industries, because of its outstanding properties such as high thermaland electrical conductivity, and superior stability against thermal shock aswell as chemical corrosion. Pitch impregnation plays a key role in productionof premium grade graphite artifacts. The process enhances performances ofgraphite artifacts by optimizing physical defects like channels and porescreated during carbonization or graphitization. In the current study, we havesynthesized the petroleum-based impregnating pitch from pyrolysis fuel oil(PFO) through pressurization and atmospheric pressure processes. And then, thepitch was synthesized by controlling the molecular weight distribution. Theimpregnation performance of the pitches was compared.
