Concerns about an increase in CO2 concentration in the atmosphere and its impact on climate change have caused a global research effort toward CO2 capture from large CO2 sources. In many different solid sorbent processes for CO2 capture, major problem is relatively higher sensible heat of solid sorbent than adsorption-based CO2 capture process. True moving bed (TMB) and simulated moving bed (SMB) adsorption process with heat integration were suggested as an available option to reduce sensible heat for CO2 capture. Internal heat exchanger model was applied to conventional mathematical model for TMB and SMB process. For accurate evaluation of the TMB and SMB process, rigorous energy calculation model was proposed. Amine-functionalized solid sorbent(0.37EB-PEI) was used to evaluate suggested TMB and SMB process. Optimized operating conditions of TMB and SMB process were investigated at the flue gas condition of 4000 Nm3/h. Sensitivity analysis for these processes can be also guidance for designing TMB and SMB process and solid sorbent. |
