제목 | Graphene and Nanostructured Materials: Material Synthesis and Application |
초록 | Since its first isolation in 2004, graphene has become one of the most important material in the field of materials science. Graphene’s excellent electrical, chemical and optical properties along with physical flexibility and a huge surface to weight ratio have led to a plethora of scientific experiments to make graphene suitable for various applications. The fundamental properties of graphene like bandgap and transparency, wettability and frictionare need to be tuned to widen its application ranges. The properties can be modified either by chemical functionalization or physical modification. In a simple chemical method, the chemicaldopant like oxygen, fluorine where chemical attached to the graphene surface to achieve different properties. In physical method, graphene was stacking along c-axis, periodic patterning using lithographywere done to manipulate properties. In addition to standalone graphene use, the graphene is also combined with various nanostructures either as a composite or hybrid structurewereexplored highly for future devices and energy applications. The synergistic effect between the graphene with metal and metal oxide nanostructures provides better efficiency for many applications, like photo-catalyst, sensor, energy storage, and etc. In the current presentation, the modification of graphene properties by physical and chemical modification will be presented. In addition, the growth of nanostructures on graphene for various applications will be discussed. |
