제목 Preparation of Polymer Microparticles by Emulsion Aggregation Process
초록 The size and shape control of polymer particles are an important target in the field of material research. Usually, the particles shape is dependent on rheological properties of latex and processing conditions such as shear rate. The size of polymer particle is controlled by pH and electrolyte concentrations. In this study an attempt was made to prepare the polymer microparticles, from the negatively charged polymer latex, with controlled size and shape using an emulsion-aggregation process. The effects of glass transition temperature (Tg) and molecular weight of the seed latex on the shape were investigated by SEM. As a result of this experiment, the sphere or irregular type microparticles with controllable size of 5~20 um size were successfully obtained.
