제목 New approaches for highly stable organic thin film transistors, with application to printing based flexible display
초록 We present new approaches about organic gate insulator (OGI) and organic passivation (OPS) for highly stable organic thin film transistors (OTFTs). Firstly, we study for the origin of hysteresis phenomenon in poly (vinyl phenol) (PVP) OGI based OTFTs. For obtaining the excellent air stability in OTFT devices, we make attempt to research the basic mechanism for free from OGI induced hysteresis by developing new backbone structure of PVP. The new PVP polymeric dielectric was synthesized by inducing ring-shape phenol backbone structure instead of conventional linear chains for elimination of slow polarization effect. Secondly, for reducing the chemical and physical damages during soluble passivation processes on organic semiconductor (OSC), we developed the new damage free passivation materials as solvent free solutions and established physical damage mechanism induced by solution process. The new approaches were successfully able to get the highly stable OTFT device for printing based flexible display.
