Li-S batteries have attracted a great deal of attention because of their high theoretical energy density (2567Wh/kg), cheap cathode material, and good environmental safety, etc. The composite sulfur cathodes are usually prepared by slurry-coating and great progress has been achieved. In these case, current collectors, conductive fillers, and polymer binders are required to shape the cathodes and improve their conductivity, while greatly decreasing the practical energy densities of batteries. In this study, we synthesized free standing and binder free reduced graphene oxide/sulfur/carbon naonotubes (rGO/S/CNTs) ternary composite cathode for lithium-sulfur batteries. Electrochemical properties were also characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) in 1M LiTFSI electrolyte. |
