Improvement of cyclability in Tin nanoparticle thin film electrode fabricated by novel method for lithium ion batteries |
초록 |
Tin metal is a suitable anode material for higher energy density batteries. The use of nanostructured metallic alloy system is one of the solutions for solving the pulverization problem of tin electrode. However, conventional electrode coating method is not adequate for preparing nanostructured alloying metal electrode. Thin film electrode prepared by slurry coating method has the problems of low uniformity and inhomogeneity. Evaporation methods with high vacuum system are time and cost consuming system and have limitation in large area application. In this research, we demonstrate a vacuum filtration method as a novel electrode fabrication method which gives uniform and homogeneous thin films. This leads to the result of improved cyclability when it is applied in coin type lithium secondary batteries. As a comparison, we prepared tin micropowder and tin nanoparticle electrode prepared by conventional slurry coating method. |
