The light-emitting diodes (LEDs) using anisotropic nanoparticles such as colloidal quantum wells (CQWs) can be improved through controlling the transition dipole orientation of CQWs. In this study, we developed a layer-by layer CdSe/CdZnS CQWs that induced face-down assembly with photoinduced crosslinkers to confirm the effect of transition dipole orientation of CQWs. Here, we confirmed the assembly of CQWs in film through grazing-incidence small-angle X-ray scattering (GISAXs). Also, the angle dependent photoluminescence spectroscopy shows the higher ratio of light within the critical angles with controlled assembly of CQWs. It can improve out-coupling efficiency and suppress roll-off in LED compared to random assembly of CQWs. As a result, this study can be platform to confirm an effect of transition dipole orientation of the anisotropic CQWs. |
