Electrosynthesis of CZTS(Se) thin films |

In this work attempts have been made to synthesize CZTS(Se) thin films using an electrodeposition method. In order to obtain photovoltaic quality CZTS(Se) thin films various electrodeposition routes have been investigated. The systematic approaches undertaken consist of single step electrodeposition of CZTS, CZTSe thin films and two-step electrosynthesis of Cu-Zn-Sn precursors followed by sulfurization and sulfoselenization. Various preparative parameters like precursor concentration, deposition potentials, soft annealing temperature, etc. are optimized and their structural, morphological and compositional studies have been carried out. Phase pure, nearly stoichiometric CZTS(Se) thin films with compact morphology have been synthesized. The measurement of their PV properties are underway. |
