제목 | Weatherability of Sol-Gel Coatings with Hydroxyphenyltriazine Containing Silane Coupling Agent for Transparent Plastics |
초록 | Using pure UV absorber(UVA) is subject to the chalking, migration, peeling or delamination, and cracking, due to the incompatibility into the sol-gel network. Therefore, coating agents require modified UVA to form chemical bonding with themselves. In this study, a modified Cyasorb 1164 was synthesized in just three steps. First, treatment of Cyasorb 1164 with HBr in refluxing acetic acid cleaved octyl ethers to give 2,4-di- (2,4-dimethylphenyl)-6-(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-1,3,5,-triazine(A). Second, A reacted with 6-bromo- 1-hexanol to yield 2,4-di-(2,4-dimethylphenyl)-6-[2-hydroxy-4-(6-hydroxy-1-hexyloxy)phenyl]- 1,3,5-triazine(B). Third, the modified Cyasorb 1164 was synthesized from B and silane coupling agent. The modified Cyasorb 1164 was characterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, and GC/MS. And, the novel sol-gel coating agents were prepared from methyltriethoxysilane, colloidal silica, and modified Cyasorb 1164. Their weatherability against photodegradation was estimated by UV/VIS spectrometer, spectrophotometer and QUV accelerated weathering tester. |
