Novel organic-inorganic hybrid materials were prepared based on cross-likable fluoromethyl derivatives, trimethoxysilane precursor and bulky silanes by non-hydrolytic sol-gel processing and followed by thermal condensation and elimination of methanol as a byproduct. They were covalently bonded to form homogeneous and transparent films with mechanical integrity as evidenced by their flexibility and toughness. Through the sol-gel reaction, a high degree of dispersion of bulky silane compounds was achieved, which changed the optical properties of the final composite films. The size, thickness of film, morphology and surface topology of these materials were investigated by SEM, TEM, FTIR, AFM, TGA. We also measured reflexibility and transmissivity of the hybrid film by UV-VIS-NIR spectrophotometer. |
