Heterogeneous Copper-free Suzuki and Sonogashira Cross-coupling Reaction Catalyzed by PdO/SNP in Aqueous Medium |

The well-prepared heterogeneous PdO/SNP catalyst was proved to be very efficient for Suzuki and Sonogashira cross-coupling reaction in aqueous and moderate copper free conditions. The well-dispersed SNPs were synthesized by the water-oil emulsion method described earlier. PdO/SNP fabrication was done by sonochemical process. The Suzuki and Sonogashira cross-coupling reaction was carried out at mild temperature with remarkable selectivity and conversion in copper free environment after optimizing the conditions. Palladium doped on surface of silica nanoparticles was successfully separated from reaction mixture by filtration. The filtered catalyst showed good mechanical stability for the same reaction after being reused several times. |
