High-resolution micropatterning of carbon nanotube thin films |
초록 |
We report a novel process for the simple and reproducible patterning of high-resolution single wall carbon nanotube (SWCNT) microstructures on various substrates. Such well-defined SWCNT micropatterns are made by nitric acid doped SWCNT thin films and pre-patterned elastomeric molds. Using this technique, various shaped and sharp-edged SWCNT micropatterns are demonstrated. This patterning technique is extremely simple, effective, and easy to fabricate SWCNT micropatterns without any pressurization and/or heating. Through removing of excess surfactant by washing and nitric acid doping, SWCNT micropatterns are fabricated by microcontact printing. Effect of nitric acid to SWCNT thin films also is investigated using field-emission scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. As application of this patterning technique to devices, we have successfully fabricated high performance top-contact organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) based on the SWCNT micropatterns as source-drain electrode materials. Our patterning technique described in this manuscript shows great promise for making future carbon material-based electronic devices. |
