제목 Squaric acid based metal-organic frameworks as promising adsorbents for radioactive waste storage​
초록     Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are widely used in the field of separation and storage of radioactive waste material, with the main advantages of low cost, flexibility in network topology, geometry and chemical properties. 

    Squaric acid with aromatic four-membered ring received its interesting name because of the unusual, almost perfect square shape. Its scaffold represents a unique moiety that has recently received considerable attention. Due to the short length of the linker, MOFs’ frameworks based on squaric acid have a small pore size (~ 4 Å) in the UiO-66 isoreticular family, which allows using them for gases capture.

   This work describes the synthesis of Cu based MOFs with squaric acid as a linker with subsequent implementation of the ZrF62- anion into the structure. This MOF will be used for measurement the adsorption ability of volatile elements resulting from nuclear waste treatment. The composition and comparative characteristics of MOF are given using SC-XRD, PXRD and SEM.
