제목 Supercapacitors using Conducting Polymers, Metal oxides and Carbon Nanotubes
초록 This presentation is a combination of three different topics as follows:-
1) The capacitive characteristics of α-Ni(OH)2 electrodes galvanostatically deposited onto a stainless-steel electrode were investigated using cyclic voltammetry in 1 M KOH electrolyte. A specific capacitance of 1233 F g-1 was obtained. 2) Flexible electrodes for supercapacitors have been prepared by depositing polypyrrole (PPy) on to a gold coated PVDF membrane. Specific capacitance values of the order of 380 F g-1 for PPy/Nafion and 420 F g-1 for PPy/p-toluenesulfonate were obtained. 3) Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) were deposited onto Ni modified TiO2 particles using chemical vapour deposition (CVD). Capacitance values as high as 146 F g-1 were obtained in 0.1 M TBAPF6/CH3CN electrolyte.
