제목 | Stretchable Janus faced battery system for wearable devices |
초록 | With the increasing interest toward wearable electronics such as health sensors, smart watch, or even smart cloth, it becomes critical to develop stretchable electronics as human body parts are not rigid but rather deformable. Though stretchable battery that roles as a power source for wearable devices are essential part to fabricate truly stretchable electronis, studies to develop stretchable batteries are still in early stages. Here, we suggest the so called "Janus faced electrode" that is a stretchable battery system using zinc/silver as an anode and cathode material each. The Janus faced battery system features two electrodes in one polymer-filler composite that insulating copolymer layer which acts as a separator for the system lies between two electrodes. This novel battery system shows high mechanical robustness (200 cycles at 200% strain) with high retainability of electrical conductivity (0.7 ohm at 200% strain). |
