제목 ​Preparation and structural characteristics of boron nitride functionalized with maleimide
초록 ​Maleimide applies to self-healing materials via the Diels-Alder reaction as cross-linking agent. The Diels-Alder reaction requires high temperature stimulus to progress retro-Diels-Alder reaction (rDA). Boron nitride is used as a nanofiller to improve the thermal conductivity of the polymer. In this context, it could also enhance the reaction efficiency of rDA reaction. Hexagonal boron nitride is composed of boron and nitrogen atoms bonded by a strong covalent bond within each layer, while the layers are bonded together by a weak van der Waals force. It has thermal and chemical stability. Herein, hexagonal boron nitride is modified to hydroxylated boron nitride and subsequently modified to contain maleimide moiety for various applications. The modified boron nitride is confirmed by FT-IR, XRD, etc.​
