제목 Separation of Hydrogen-Nitrogen-Methane Gas Mixture by block copolymers of PDMS with styrene and methyl methacrylate
초록 Polystyrene(PS) is more hydrophobic than polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) and has a higher tensile strength. The mechanical, flim-forming and selectivity characteristics of the PDMS membrane can be improved by replacing them with the PS-PDMS-PS and PMMA-PDMS-PMMA block copolymer membranes. The synthesis of A-B-A block copolymer with B=PDMS and A=polystyrene, PMMA involves the use of chloromethyl terminated polysiloxane as initiator for Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization. Characterization of the copolymer is described by 1H-NMR, FT-IR, SEM, TGA, GPC, and DSC.
