The principal objectives of the study are to quantify the performance of the subsea system of offshore oil & gas production platform facilities in terms of the several parameters; Production Efficiency, Equipment and System Criticality, Recommendations to achieve specific system availability (eg, 98% availability). The analysis can be carried out via the RAM (Reliability, Availability and Maintainability) study. Qualitative analysis are undertaken to recognize each failure mode and the consequence of events related to the identification of the critical facilities for the subsea system’s production efficiency. The RBD (Reliability Block Diagram) method is utilized for the quantitative analysis of the system’s reliability. On the basis of the RBD results, the availability and maintainability are assessed using several operating and maintenance strategies. The failure data have been taken from generic references such as the OREDA (Offshore Reliability Data) and NPRD (Non-Electrical Part Reliability Data) Handbooks. |
