제목 Exfoliation of Montmorillonite within NIR Dye Conjugated Polymer Having Adhesive and Hyper-thermal Antibacterial Properties
초록 We report exfoliated montmorillonite (MMT) for near infrared (NIR) active hyperthermal antibacterial adhesive-nanocomposites constructed using IR825/catechol/sultone quaternized poly(dimethylamino) ethylmethacrylate [(IR825/catechol/sultone)-q-PDMA] polymeric assemble. Different ratio of MMT has been taken in the zwitterionic structure of [(IR825/catechol/sultone)-q-PDMA]-to-MMT that was convenient to enlarge and exfoliate with the clay layers of MMT. The surface coating has simultaneously performed owing to remaining adhesive catechol of [(IR825/catechol/sultone)-q-PDMA]/MMT, and confirmed in contact angle and XPS measurements. The reported hyper-thermal nanocomposites show effective antibacterial activity against both S. aureus (gram-positive) and E. coli (gram-negative) bacteria, respectively. This was supported by Korea National University of Transportation in 2015.
