초록 Recently several approaches have been examined for controlling the pore size distribution and enhancing the mesopore content of activated carbon fibers.
Mesoporous metal--impregnated carbon absorbents can be useful to remove large molecules or in using as catalyst.
Oya et al prepared an antibacterial phenolic-resin based activated carbon fiber containing mesopores by using cobalt as an activation catalyst and silver, and it alloyed with the silver to form larger catalyst particles. Ozaki produced mesoporous carbon fibers from a polymer blend.
We studied surface chracteristics of metal-impregnated activated carbon fibers(ACFs).
As a results,The average pore size of ACFs increased as the increase if metal contents, while the specific surface area decreased. TGA was performed to investigate the decomposition temperature of metal-impregnated ACFs. SEM has shown the surface morphology of metal-impregnated ACFs. The surface functional groups of ACFs were analyzed FT-IR spectrophotometery.
