Gellan gum (GG) is a polymer polysaccharide that has been applied in various fields such as food additive and drug delivery. Also, glycol chitosan (GC) has bio-degradability, temperature sensitivity properties and control physicochemical properties and is easy to use as biomaterial because it has low cytotoxicity. In this study, we developed GG/GC membrane for surgical applications by preparing a water-insoluble GG/GC film. In addition, this study evaluates the in vitro and in vivo biocompatibility and effects of cross-linked GG/GC membrane on guided bone regeneration (GBR). |
