제목 Spectrofluorimetric Determination of Levodopa Through Ternary Complex Formation With Europium(III) and Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid
초록 A sensitive spectrofluorimetric method was developed for the determination of levodopa based on the luminescence enhancement of the ternary complex of Eu3+ in the presence of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA). It was found that the complex exhibited intense fluorescence peak at 591 and 613 nm with excitation at 372 nm corresponding to the 5D0-7F1 and 5D0-7F2 transition of Eu3+ ion, respectively. Under optimum conditions, the enhanced fluorescence intensity was proportional to the concentration of levodopa in the range of 3×10-9 to 2.5×10-7 mol L-1 with the limit of detection 4.37×10-10 mol L-1. The proposed method offers higher sensitivity and selectivity to determine levodopa in pharmaceutical and biological analysis.
