A photovoltaic polymer containing electron-rich tetrathiofulvalene (electron donor) and fullerene (electron acceptor) was successfully synthesized via coupling reactions and abbreviated as 6T-polymer. Electron-rich tetrathiafulvalene (T) can work as an electron donor (D) and fullerene (F, C60) can act as an electron acceptor (A) so that the chemical architecture of 6T-polymer is a DA dyads system. The chemical structure of 6T-polymer was confirmed by utilizing FT IR, 1H and 13C NMR, its thermal behavior was monitored by DSC. Furthermore, the electrochemical properties were measured by UV-Vis, photoluminescence, and cyclic voltammetry. |
