Effects of the transfer method of graphene on graphene enhanced Raman scattering |

We report different enhanced Raman scattering intensity according to the transfer methods of graphene grown by CVD. Graphene synthesized by the CVD method was transferred using PMMA and Thermal release tape (TRT). The PMMA-assisted graphene has shown 5.6 times higher Raman scattering effects than TRT-assisted graphene. The residues such as carboxyl and hydroxyl groups created during the PMMA-assisted transfer process helped to attach R6G on graphene. Thus PMMA-assisted graphene had stronger π – π* interactions than TRT-assisted graphene, allowing easy charge transfer between graphene and R6G dyes. These results were acquired using x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and UV-Vis spectroscopy. |
